Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACA)/Dysfunctional Families is a Twelve Step, Twelve Tradition program of people who grew up in dysfunctional homes.

We meet to share our experience of growing up in an environment where abuse, neglect and trauma infected us. This affects us today and influences how we deal with all aspects of our lives.

We gather to listen to a chapter of an inspirational book and then take what we learned into a meditation with music. We start with setting our intention with the lighting of candles and speaking our intention aloud.

CSL First City is home to many AA and NA meetings. These groups do not endorse or lend their names to CSL First City as to not violate Tradition Six in either program.

Grief Life Circles

The purpose of this program is to create a safe and supportive space to explore the unique challenges of grief and loss. This is not a “how-to” guide, but rather a gentle container for reflection, expansion, and transformation. Together, we will discover how both personal inner work and the healing balm of community can help us move through grief—not only as a response to loss, but as a pathway into deeper living in all areas of life. Loss is not just the death of a loved one. It can be the loss of a job, a relationship, a home. Anything that happens in our lives that would cause us to feel grief.

What to Expect Each Session

A Safe Space: Beginning with meditation and grounding practices to open the circle for listening and sharing.

Essentials: Engage with guidance, discussion, and experiential activities around the week’s theme.

Reflections: Explore personal prompts and activities to deepen your understanding and healing.

Experience: Receive a practical tool or practice to carry with you into the week.

Each week, you’ll also receive an affirmation, prayer, or passage for individual reflection. Bringing a journal or notebook is encouraged for personal insights along the way.

This is not a journey with a final destination—it is an unfolding process that helps us reconnect with who we truly are. Together, we’ll honor the truth that healing is possible, connection is powerful, and we are never alone.

This is a 12 week commitment. $25 per week. Registration in required for the first week.

Dr. Sarah Karsmarski — Holistic Acupuncture and Facial Rejuvenation Services in St. Augustine

Dr. Sarah Karsmarski, a board-certified and licensed Acupuncture Physician with 15 years of experience, offers personalized holistic healthcare services from our shared space in St. Augustine. Trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine and a range of acupuncture techniques—including cosmetic acupuncture, microneedling, herbal medicine, and cupping—Dr. Karsmarski specializes in restoring balance, energy, and wellness through gentle, individualized treatments.

Her offerings include both therapeutic and cosmetic services such as facial rejuvenation, acupuncture injection therapy, facial cupping, Gua Sha, moxa (heat therapy), and nanoneedling. Cosmetic treatments focus on improving skin tone, reducing signs of aging, and supporting natural collagen production.

Dr. Karsmarski also provides care for various health concerns—physical, emotional, and spiritual—and is trained in Japanese acupuncture, Five Element theory, and integrative herbal medicine. She brings additional expertise from clinical studies in China and experience working with veterans and fertility patients.
